Design Concept / >Game Concept / >Credits The design concept of "Herr W's MONKEYS of DOOM" is actually older than the game concept. To be precise: The game concept is more like a platform to present a design which I originally created for a 3D point-and-click adventure... You can inspect the (buggy) building-site of that by clicking the "Bermuda Bytes" button at the lower right (you'll be asked to install a "Virtools" plug-in first, which I'm pretty sure will do no harm to your system). But don't expect anything like a story or great interaction! There's one dude strolling around naked and one lying drunken on the ground (also naked). ... But back to the design. It's based on two commandments: 1. Have as few lines as possible. 2. Let those lines run parallel as often as possible. I started like this: (click on the images to enlarge them) Can't remeber precisely, but it's most likely that it was drawn in a pub...You can see a triangled shape on the upper left, which comes out as the woman... ... and a more rectangled one on the right which evolved as the dude: - Looking closer, the beer marks on the paper indicate that this was indeed drawn in a pub;-) And that's what a 3D-application made out of it! This is "Affe"... ... in all it's cartooney beauty... ... the skeleton "Karl"... ... still Karl ... ... and the nameless stranger "Bob", not build in 3D yet. Well, nothing more than that to create a "Herr W"-style cartoon-combat player model. - Try it out!
Game Concept / >Credits / >Design Concept As time goes by and more and more people seem to get bored of fighting and killing senselessly in dark mars dungeons, I found it time to offer them the opportunity to fight and kill senselessly in some brighter, cartoonier places. The first of those is a little donut-shaped island somewhere at the end of the world, inhabited only by two pretty aggressive monkeys. Don't expect the greatest gameplay of your life there, cause this one is mainly for testing, bugfixing and giving an impression of how things could look like when the mod is done. Hope none the less you'll have fun on Donut Island! If you are a fan of German "Schimpfwörter", like "bekackt", "Arschloch" or "Scheisse", you definitely will!
